A day without my laptop
It is days like this when I really start to realise how dependant I am on technology... and particularly my laptop.
Laptops are marvelous tools, you can carry them anywhere, do your work outside or inside, watch a DVD in bed, even use the wonderous Microsoft Outlook to organise your whole day with its magnificient calendar and taskpad.
But then when they do not work they are equally frustrating. Wanting to refer to your calendar and realising you can't, wanting to access that AIESEC file and realising the only copy you have is on the laptop, wanting to work on that Uni assignment until... you guessed it... you realise all your work is on your laptop!
So then what do you do without the marvels of modern technology for a day. Well I found out how comfy our new office couch really is, talked out my massive Playstation 2 soccer victories during Beer Appreciation Night, and being a little more productive I cleared out all my junk from the Canterbury office computer in preparation for my departure.
So a day without my laptop has been a refreshing change, but not something I am looking forward to again.
And for those of you who wanted to know the original name for my blog was Making Brad Pitt Look Luke Warm Since 1984. Impossible you say??? Well consider this:
Brad Pitt may look good, but I am cuddly at night
Brad Pitt has a six pack, but I have a keg
Brad Pitt is flithy rich, but at least I bathe regularly
Brad Pitt has Angelina Jolie, but now Jennifer Aniston is back on the market
